3D Printing Materials: PLA vs PETG vs Resin

Choosing the right material makes all the difference. Here’s our breakdown!

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

Our go-to for most props. Lightweight, easy to print, eco-friendly. Best for: Large weapons, display pieces. Weakness: Can warp in hot cars!

PETG

Stronger and more flexible than PLA. Best for: Armor pieces, items that need durability. Slightly heavier but much tougher.

Resin

Ultra-detailed but more fragile. Best for: Small accessories, jewelry, detailed helmets. Requires more post-processing.

Our Recommendation

For most cosplayers, PLA is perfect. Upgrade to PETG for wearables or rough handling.
